for Children And Teenagers

German AI Training
Where Language Meets the Future
Dear parents,
We’re excited to welcome your child to a truly modern and meaningful learning experience — where language meets technology, and creativity meets structure.
This course is for bilingual families and young learners of German in the U.S. who have already reached at least A2 level. Whether your child speaks German at home or learned it through school or tutoring, this course offers a safe, intelligent, and playful way to connect with both the German language and cutting-edge AI tools like ChatGPT
What Makes This Course Special?
Your child will:
-
Learn how to use ChatGPT (Pro) as a German-language companion
-
Practice writing, reading, and thinking in German through interactive prompts
-
Gain digital confidence through AI-based tools and creative tasks
-
Create dialogues, explore stories, solve problems, and express independent ideas, all in German
And this is just the beginning.
We focus on ChatGPT as the main learning partner, but your child will also discover other AI apps during the course. They’ll be encouraged to search, test, and bring in their own tools, turning the course into a collaborative lab where students shape the experience together.
Two Age Groups – Two Learning Paths
We offer two courses, both taught entirely in German and adapted to age, interest, and developmental level:
Ages 9–12:
A creative introduction to ChatGPT and playful AI use in German. Kids learn how to write prompts, explore ideas, and build confidence while discovering that German can be smart, helpful, and fun.
Ages 13–17:
An advanced, discussion-based course where teens use AI in German to research, plan, debate, write, and reflect. They explore not only how AI works, but how to use it wisely, in school, in everyday life, and as part of their growing independence.
Each group follows its own age-appropriate curriculum, but both share the same core mission:
To help young people think in German, speak with confidence, and use modern tools with purpose.
For Families Who Want More Than Worksheets
We know many families are looking for real, ongoing ways to keep German alive — beyond vocabulary apps and textbook drills. This course gives your child the tools to:
-
Express themselves in German
-
Explore new interests in German
-
Think critically and creatively — with the support of AI
Why AI?
Because it’s the future, and children can learn to use it wisely, not passively.
Early, guided exposure to AI builds:
-
Independence
-
Curiosity
-
Language skills
-
and a sense of control over digital tools
Instead of being overwhelmed by technology, your child will learn to collaborate with it, in German.
Why We Offer Gender-Specific Courses
At Learn German America, we offer separate courses for boys and girls to create a learning environment where students feel more comfortable expressing themselves, especially in a new language.
Gender-specific groups often allow:
-
More open conversation
-
Greater focus and participation
-
Improved group dynamics
-
More confidence when exploring creative or personal topics
This structure supports both language development and emotional comfort. Students are still encouraged to bring their full personality, we simply create spaces that make it easier for them to engage, share, and grow.

Week 1: What is AI? What Can ChatGPT Do?
We begin with a gentle introduction to artificial intelligence in German. Using pictures, examples, and student-friendly vocabulary, we explore what AI is, and what it isn’t. The children will interact with ChatGPT for the first time using simple questions.
Week 2: What is a Prompt? How Can I Ask Smart Questions?
This week introduces the concept of a "prompt". Students will experiment with different types of questions and requests to see what makes an answer better. We will discover how wording in German shapes the response.
Week 3: Fantasy Animals and Superpowers
In this creative week, students invent their own magical creatures. Where do they live? What powers do they have? What do they eat? They will describe the animal using ChatGPT’s help, expanding their use of adjectives, verbs, and sentence structure. They can also draw their creature and, if available, use AI to generate an image.
Week 4: Build-a-Story Workshop
Here we work as a group to create fun and silly stories together. Students take turns writing sentences or deciding what happens next, with ChatGPT adding plot twists or helping with vocabulary. We focus on narrative structure in German (zuerst, dann, plötzlich, am Ende) and help students feel confident expressing sequence and emotion.
Week 5: Jokes, Riddles, and Language Games
This session is pure fun, and very language-rich. Students ask ChatGPT to tell them jokes and riddles, then guess the answers together. They will try writing their own jokes or puzzles with ChatGPT’s help, learning about wordplay, double meanings, and humor in German.
Week 6: Planning Everyday Life with ChatGPT
Children use German and ChatGPT to organize a simple event: a birthday party, a weekend trip, or a day at school. They will write packing lists, schedules, guest lists, or menu ideas, learning how to apply their German to real-world tasks.
Week 7: My Mini Project
Each student chooses something they want to create with ChatGPT: a short comic script, a recipe list, a short fairy tale, or a funny news report. The teacher provides guidance, but the ideas come from the kids. At the end, they can present what they made , or just show the results proudly.
Week 8: My Prompt Toolbox and What Comes Next
We end by collecting and reviewing everything we’ve done. Each child builds a “Prompt Toolbox” , a simple list of favorite German prompts they can keep using with ChatGPT. We talk about how to continue using German and AI at home, and students reflect on what they enjoyed most.

German Online AI Training for
Teenagers
Children age 13 - 17

Thinking, Writing, and Creating in German with AI
Age Group: Teenagers (13–17)
Level: A2+
Gender: Boys / Girls
Class Size: 1–5 participants
Duration: 8 sessions (4 - 16 weeks, based on teaching schedule)
Session Length: 60 minutes
Format: Live online via Zoom
Tools: Zoom, Google Classroom, ChatGPT, AI tools
Teacher: Nicolas Jacobi
Price: $240 per student
Goals:
-
Learn how ChatGPT actually works and how to write powerful prompts in German
-
Use AI for writing, revising, researching, and expressing opinions
-
Practice digital responsibility: What does AI get wrong? When should we say no to AI?
-
Engage in real discussions, not just with AI, but with classmates
-
Explore new tools and use AI to plan real tasks (school, creative projects, presentations)
Week 1: What Is Artificial Intelligence – Really?
We begin by unpacking how ChatGPT actually works. We will use simple but accurate explanations to help students understand the basic logic behind the tool. The group discusses how AI compares to human thinking, and we begin writing our first small prompts.
Week 2: Prompt Engineering – How to Get Better Results
This week teaches students how to write better instructions. We explore tone, length, and precision: “Gib mir ein Beispiel für…” vs. “Schreibe einen überzeugenden Text mit drei Argumenten für…”. Students rewrite each other’s prompts to make them stronger and test which ones lead to better results.
Week 3: Using ChatGPT for Schoolwork
Students apply AI to common school tasks. We use ChatGPT to build essay outlines, summarize texts, or find mistakes in a German paragraph. This helps students understand where AI can be helpful, and where it must be used carefully and honestly. We also discuss ethical boundaries in schools.
Week 4: Giving Feedback – Can You Improve the AI?
Students learn to critique AI-generated texts in German. What makes a sentence awkward? How would you rephrase something more clearly? They give structured feedback like “Der Text ist zu allgemein” or “Ich möchte mehr Details zu …”. This builds both linguistic and critical thinking skills.
Week 5: Exploring Personal Interests with AI
Each student picks a topic they care about, from freedom, ethics, entertainment, music to climate change to sports or politics, and uses ChatGPT to explore it in German. They might ask the AI to explain concepts, create a dialogue, compare opinions, or help write a short article. Students summarize their findings to the group.
Week 6: Debate – AI in School and Society
This week focuses on structured discussion. Students explore questions like: Should students be allowed to use ChatGPT during homework? What about on tests? Can AI be creative? We practice forming arguments in German using phrases like einerseits, andererseits, ich bin der Meinung, dass, and meiner Ansicht nach.
Week 7: Student-Led Tool Discovery – App Lab
Students bring one AI tool they’ve discovered or are curious about. They explain its use (in German), test it in class, and reflect on what works well. We look at things like Canva’s “Magic Write”, AI voice tools, and beginner avatar makers. If students want, they can team up to create something fun using their chosen tools.
Week 8: Final Projects and AI Prompt Kit
Each student presents a short final project: it might be a creative piece they wrote, a short argument they prepared, or a reflection about how AI helps them learn. We review favorite prompts and build a “Prompt Kit” they can use on their own after the course. The course ends with a look into the future: how can AI help you stay bilingual?
